Vacation is exciting, but travel can be exhausting. Here are some of the best ways to relax and unwind on you vacation in Cabo San Lucas.

Vacation is finally here! You probably can’t wait to relax and while away your days. Unfortunately, all the planning that goes into a vacation can be stressful, so you need to figure out how to relax once you get there. You’ve planned your trip, packed your bags, and booked your hotel, but how do you unwind once you’ve arrived?

Here is a great list of fun and relaxing things to do while you visit Cabo San Lucas and the surrounding area.

The Beach

One of the best, and nicest places to relax when on vacation is the beach. Mexico has so many to choose from! These are some of the best beaches to visit while you are in Cabo San Lucas.

Playa del Amor

Also known as the beach of lovers, this is one of the beaches that borders El Arco, or the Arch. That is the arch of San Cabos, a beautiful limestone landmark that is also a must-see if you’re in town. Playa del Amor is one of the most notable shoreline stretches in Cabo. It is south of downtown and accessible by boat.

Playa Solmar

If you are in the mood for a quieter beach, Playa Solmar is the one for you. It is between several resorts, and it generally caters to those guests. This means there will be fewer people to share your sun and sand with.

Playa Medano

This is one of the busier and more popular beaches. It is home to many different activities and watering holes. It is also bordered by plenty of places to eat and shop, should you need a break from sunbathing. It is also a great place to take a boat out to the famous arch mentioned above.

Playa Chileno

This beach happens to be one of the cleanest beaches in Mexico! It has a host of amenities such as disabled access, bathrooms, paved parking lots, and showers. It also happens to be a great place for snorkeling.

More Than the Beach

Another great thing to do is to explore all your water options – not only relaxing at the beach! You can go snorkeling, scuba diving, whale watching, or even relax whale watching the sunset. There are so many fun options. No matter what you choose, you have the option of taking a private tour, or a shared tour. Whether you’re in the mood to socialize or not, there’s something for everyone.

Snorkeling

If you take a snorkeling trip you will be able to snorkel in the Sea of Cortez at the end of the peninsula, which is full of bright-colored tropical fish. The next part of the tour takes you to Pelican Rock. At the rock you may get to see sea lions, pelicans, and other fun birds and wildlife that hang out there. The cruise will also take you to the Chileno and Santa Maria Bays. These beaches have white sand, turquoise water, and great swimming and snorkeling.

Whale Watching

Any whale-watching excursion will change the way you feel about nature and these beautiful creatures. The crew will provide you with information about the whales and their lifestyles. From December to March, humpback whales come to Cabo to birth and raise their young. The crew will take the ship as close as possible, and then turn the engines off. From there, they try to use only the sails to follow the whales, allowing for close observation without disrupting their environment.

Scuba Diving

The scuba diving trip combines with the snorkeling trip. Everyone can be together, but also be doing their own thing. Most tours will provide all the necessary gear for both activities. It is also important to note that you don’t have to have a diving certification to dive on this trip! Both experienced and inexperienced divers are welcome.

Sunset Cruises

The Cabo Sailing sunset cruise leaves about two hours before sunset. There are great snack options and an open bar, which guests are welcome to enjoy. The captain will also listen to your preferences as far as sailing.

Whether you want fast and exciting or smooth and steady, your captain is there to cater to your desires. This trip takes you around the tip of Baja and provide the means to see a beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

There are so many fun and relaxing options once you get to Mexico. It is a beautiful country, and the beach is a beautiful place to spend your time. There are so many fun activities that are outside of the regular scope.

Take the time to relax and recharge between your more stimulating activities for a truly rejuvenating vacation experience you’ll always enjoy looking back on. Make some amazing memories and have experiences that will last for a lifetime!
